Livewire designs and installs conference room audio and video for offices in Richmond and across Central Virginia. Video conferencing, microphones, speakers and displays, set up so anyone can walk in and start a meeting. The same local team handles digital signage, access control, networking, lighting and the electrical work behind all of it.
Livewire is a commercial audio video company in Richmond, Virginia, and an office AV integrator for businesses across Central Virginia. We install conference room and boardroom AV, huddle and training room systems, digital signage and video walls, access control and commercial security, networking and Wi-Fi, and commercial lighting. We are also a Class A electrical contractor, license #2705067574, so the power behind every system is done in house. Every project starts with a formal proposal you approve before anything is installed.
Most conference room trouble comes down to a few things. The call takes ten minutes to start, nobody can hear the far end of the table, and only one person knows how to switch on the screen. We start from how the room is used, how many people sit in it, how often they are on calls, and who presents from where, and build the system around that.

The same thinking carries into the rest of an office. Boardrooms usually add wireless microphones and access control. Meeting and huddle rooms need the same tools on a smaller scale. Training rooms lean on projectors and sound that reach the back row. Lobbies and waiting rooms get displays, background music and a PA. See every room type on our solutions by room page, or the full equipment list on commercial A/V systems.
Offices rarely need just one of these, and the projects go better when the same people plan all of them together. Each one has its own page with more detail.
A screen in the lobby is the easy part. What decides whether signage earns its place is the planning: where each display goes, what plays on it, and who in your office keeps it current. We work through those questions first, then size and mount the displays, run the cabling and power, and set up the playback.
Signage shows up in most of the places we work: reception and waiting areas, restaurant and bar displays, and training rooms. For a statement piece, a MicroLED video wall is the step up. If you are still weighing it, our article on four digital signage problems to avoid covers the common mistakes before you spend anything.
Access control decides who can get into your building, and which rooms inside it, and when. It is the most common reason businesses call us rather than buying an off-the-shelf alarm.
Access control works best as part of a full commercial security system, with intrusion detection, cameras and 24/7 monitoring on the same plan. The details, including monitoring options, are on our commercial security systems page.
Corporate offices are where most of our conference room work happens, but the same systems go into hospitality, restaurants, education, healthcare, retail, museums, theaters, auditoriums, sporting facilities and houses of worship. Every industry has its own requirements, and the right setup for a medical practice looks nothing like the right setup for a taproom. Our solutions by industry page goes through them one at a time.

Each room is quoted on its own after we have seen the space. The number moves on the size of the room, how many displays, cameras and microphones it needs, whether cabling and power have to be run, and what existing equipment can be kept. You get a formal proposal with the scope written down, and installation only happens once you accept it.
That is usually the whole point. At The Fahrenheit Group, the conference room technology is standardized and labeled so anyone can walk in and use it. Once a system is installed we test it thoroughly and show your team how to use it, and if new people join later we can come back for extra training.
Yes. Digital signage is part of our commercial A/V work, from lobby and waiting room screens to restaurant and bar displays. For something bigger, we design and install MicroLED video walls, and you can see one running in our Richmond showroom. The planning matters more than the screens, so we start with where each display goes, what plays on it and who will keep it current.
Yes, as part of a commercial security system. Access control monitors the doors and entryways in your building, restricts certain rooms to authorized people, unlocks and locks entry points on a schedule, and keeps a record of who entered where and when. Systems can use ID cards, access codes or both, and they work alongside intrusion detection, cameras and 24/7 monitoring.
Yes. Livewire is a Class A electrical contractor, license #2705067574, which covers commercial work at any scale, and all of our power work is done in house. When a conference room needs a new circuit, a floor box or power at the display wall, it is part of the same project and the same proposal rather than a second contractor.

Request a bid and tell us a little about the space: the rooms involved, roughly how many people use them, and when you need it done. We will set up a time to see the space, talk through what you want it to do, and come back with a formal proposal. If you would rather talk it through first, call (804) 937-9001.
